Massanutten Resort

Massanutten sits in a valley at the southern end of Massanutten Mountain in Rockingham County — a compact ski area with 23 trails, seven lifts, and a 1,110-foot vertical drop. Advanced snowmaking keeps the Shenandoah Valley season reliable from December through March for beginners through intermediate skiers, with a few steeper pitches when conditions allow.

Drive times from Harrisonburg (~15 minutes), Staunton (~30 minutes), Charlottesville (~45 minutes), Richmond (~2 hours), and Washington D.C. (~2.5 hours) put Massanutten within easy reach of I-81 traffic. The resort is on the Indy Pass network — two partner days per season, with Indy+ lifting blackouts. Compare tiers on the pass desk.

Massanutten sells itself as a complete family vacation: condo units with full kitchens, an indoor water park, spa services, and year-round recreation beyond the ski pod. Many of those condos are individually owned and rented through their owners or local property managers, so inventory and rates vary from unit to unit. MTNinfo does not book stays. The layout is compact enough for a day trip from Harrisonburg but big enough for a long weekend if you add the water park.
